NDT which is called the Non-Destructive Testing is the widely used inspection/testing method to evaluate the properties, characteristics, defects of a welded component or material. NDT methods are used widely in various industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, automobile, nuclear power plants etc. NDT method is a vital process for those companies engaged in manufacturing and maintenance of welded materials.
There are 6 commonly used NDT methods.
1. Radiographic Testing (RT)
2. Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
3. Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT)
4. Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)
