MEP which stands for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing is suited for those students who wish to develop a career in the MEP designing field. The Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) system is very essential in a building or industry project and is one of the key parts of the project. Work done by an MEP engineer is very critical in the planning, documentation, cost estimation, and construction of a building.
MEP – where ‘M’ stands for the mechanical aspect focusing on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning which is called HVAC in short form.
‘E’ stands for the electrical aspect focusing on the electrical designing and drafting in building construction. The major job of an electrical engineer in this regard is to provide power (electricity) to all equipment effectively by creating drawings and designs of electrical circuits and distribution systems in a very simple and efficient manner.
‘P’ stands for the plumbing aspect focusing on the water supply and drainage/sewage flow in building construction. The major job role of an MEP engineer is to develop a design that is cost-effective and efficient and then produce actual drawings required for the real-time construction on the site.
